GRAIN OF SALT

GRAIN OF SALT

In a poetic and expressive aesthetical style the mapping projection uses grain of salt as metaphor that conveys important meanings by few means. The installation seeks inspiration in every form of human expression: image (visual art), sound (music), movement (dance) and word (poetry), and unites them into one art piece on the façade of St. Peters Cathedral.

GRAIN OF SALT is site-specific video mapping art piece for Staro Riga Light Festival as a part of Riga 2014, European Capital of Culture Program.

POEM

Don’t come to me with the entire truth.
Don’t bring me the ocean if I feel thirsty,
nor heaven if I ask for light;
but bring a hint, some dew, a particle,
as birds carry only drops away from water,
and the wind a grain of salt.

- Olav. H. Hauge
