DAWN is an audio-visual spatial installation and an art piece on the borderline between reality and dreaming, the immediate and the eternal.
DAWN is a poem about our eternal search for meaning and the sublime through revelation, despair and reconciliation.
Dawn is a commision by Staro Riga Festival of Lights ´18 on occasion of the centennial celebration of Latvia.
DAWN is a triptych and is based on the symbolism of a triangle where three parts create strong balance and one whole. It discusses the questions around Body/Mind /Soul, Past/Present/Future and Birth/ Life/ Death. In this way the art piece creates an almost sacral state of reflection and inspiration and invites audience to a poetic, dynamic and contemplative experience.
DAWN is collaboration with legendary Latvian composer Peteris Vasks.
DAWN is a flexible installation and can be set up both outdoors and indoors. The installation can be scaled up and down according to the space and placement. The panels can be exhibited in several different set ups:as a triangular structure, next to each other, in a curve or on separate walls.
